Our History

The Nigerian Institute of Building

The Nigerian Institute of Building (NIOB) was established to be the foremost professional body for builders in Nigeria. The Institute is responsible for regulating the building profession and ensuring the highest standards of practice.

The Bauchi State Chapter was established to serve as the state arm of the national body, bringing professional building services and standards closer to the people of Bauchi State. Over the years, the chapter has grown to become one of the most active chapters in the northern region.

Today, the Bauchi Chapter boasts over 500 registered members including Fellows, Corporate Members, Associate Members, Graduate Members, and Student Members, all working together to advance the building profession.

Bauchi Chapter Overview

The Bauchi Chapter is led by a dedicated team of professionals committed to the Institute's goals.

The NIOB Bauchi State Chapter is governed by an Executive Council elected by members. The council oversees the administration, programs, and activities of the chapter. Our leadership team comprises experienced builders and construction professionals who volunteer their time and expertise to advance the profession.
